Fairy Bells and Solomon's Seals
Disporum sessile ( Fairy Bells): Z 4-9. This is a Japanese Disporum with light yellow blooms to green. Plant this in rich moist soil in shade. Smaller in stature than D. flavens.

Disporum cantoniense( Fairy Bells): Z 6-9. This is an elegant woodland plant that is cultivated for its flowers and unique growth pattern. The blooms are white and bell shaped. Plant this in rich moist soil in shade. These will get as tall as three feet with multi branched stalks.
Polygonatum kingianum: Z 5-9 3" to 5" tall thin curled leaves wilth orange flowers. Featured in Horticulture mag.


Polygonatum curistylum var.: Z 5-8 1" to 2" tall thin curled leaves wilth pale purple flowers. Featured in Horticulture mag.

Polygonatum multiflorum (Solomon's seal): Z 4-8 This is 2" to 3" tall with oval pleated leaves and greenand white drooping blooms in spring. Featured in Horticulture mag.

Disporum flavens: Z4-9 Korea. This is an elegant woodland perennial for the shade garden. it is a robust species up to two feet tall, with large showy yellow flowers in spring. These will form large clumps when established.
Disporum megalanthem: Z 4-9 China. This growes up to six feet tall and is evergreen. It produses pure white blooms with black fruit.


Polygonatum cirrhifolium: Z 5-8 China. This is a tall growing polygonatum with white-brown fragrant blooms in spring to summer.

Disporum lutescens: Z 5-9 Japan. This is found in the mountains of Honshu and Kyushu. The blooms are yellow.
