Hardy Lilium

Nomocharis meleagrina:  Z 6-9 Plant in a moist but not wet, rich soil in a cool sheltered location.  This is a collectors plant that is rarely seen in the US.

Nomocharis aperta:  Z 6-9. This lily relative is from China.  The leaves are green and oval on a stem that carries up to six nodding pink flowers that are spotted purple.  They bloom in early summer.

Lilium wardii:  Z 5-9 China. Grows in thickets, rocky forest margins and grassy slopes.  Two to ten flowers in purple-red-pink with deep purple spots.

Lilium pardalinum giganteum:  Z 5-9 Native to Northern California.Red flowers with yellow spots and burgandy spots.  Plant in moist soil. Blooms are fragrant, opening in mid summer and growes to four feet tall. Thought to be a natural hybrid between L. pardalinum, and L. humboldii.

Lilium nepalense var.:  Z 5-9 Himalayan.  Rare and desirable species with purple and green-yellow.  Blooms late summer into fall.  Plant in moist, cool well drained soil in part sun.

Lilium pumilum:  Z 5-9 China scarlet flowers with burgandy spots.  Plant in moist, well drained soil.  Sun to part shade.
