Penstemon procerus (Tiny-Bloom Penstemon): Z 7-8 N.A.Native Despite its common name this is a very showy Penstimon with neon blue-purple flowers. Growes over one foot tall. Very showy inspite of the name.
Penstemon Serrulatus (Cascade Penstemon): Z 7-8 N.A.Native. P. serrulatus has showy pink-purple flowers. Prefers sun or part shade, with moderate moisture. P. serrulatus forms large impressive clumps.
Petasites frigidus var. palmatus (Coltsfoot): Z 7-8 N.A.Native This is a large and bold lime green fan-like leaf with scalloped edges. This great naturalizer dies back each winter only to emerge in early spring with its cluster of white blooms followed by its foliage. It prefers ample moisture and full to part shade. This is a must for those interested in a foliage garden and dramatic effects.

Petasites japonicus: Z 5-9 China, Japan. This is a huge perennial with kidney shaped leaves. In late winter even when there is snow or frost white cabbage like blooms emerge. The stems are eaten as food. Plant in shade to part sun, moist soil. The more sun they are in the more water they need.
Roscoea humeana: Z 7-8 Ht.12" This is a rmagenta blooming form of Roscoea. They will form clumps over time.
Roscoea tibetica: Z 7-8 Ht.12" This is a red blooming form of Roscoea from Tibet.
Roscoea yannanensis: Z 7-8 Ht.12" This is a white blooming woodland plant in the ginger family. The blooms resemble an orchid and the foliage is strap-like. They prefer part shade and cool fertile humus rich soil that should be kept moist but well drained.

Ranunculus lyalii: Z 6-8 New Zealand. This species is from the mountains of New Zealand. The leaves are large, thick, glossy, and cup shaped. The large blooms are formed on one to three foot spikes. Blooms in spring to summer. Plant in moist, but gritty well drained soil. Does best in areas without hot sun.

Primula florindae: Z 6-9 Tibet. This is one of the tallest Primulas up to 36 inches tall. Blooms in spring to early summer. The blooms are yellow, scented and in clusters of 40 blooms. Plant in moist woodland with shade.
Primula bulleyana: Z 6-9 China. Whorls of golden orange flowers are formed on tall spikes in late spring to summer. Plant in shade, with moist soil.
