Iris douglasiana (Douglas iris): Z 5-8 N.A. Native This iris has pale pink to reddish-purple flowers on one to two foot tall stems. Native to open grassy hillsides in Oregon and California.
Iris foetidissima: Z 7-8 This evergreen species of beardless iris has subtle brown and blue blooms followed by large seed capsules with masses of bright scarlet-orange seeds. This species tolerates sun to shade, damp and drought.
Iris missouriensis (westerm blueflag iris): Z 5-8 N.A. Native These are restricted to wetland margins in Eastern Washington and the San Juan Islands. It is believed that the colonies on the islands are left from when Washington's climate was dryer 5,ooo to 8,ooo years ago. White to blue colored flowers on one to two feet tall branched stems. These are summer decidious.
Iris cristata (Crested Iris): Z 4-9 N.A.Native. This iris reached about eight inches tall with three inch wide violet flowers in spring. Plant in part shade.


Iris siberica: Z 4-9 These are decideous Iris with long, strapy, grass like foliage. The blue flowers are on tall spikes with up to five blooms. Likes pleanty of moisture and full sun to part shade.
