Attributes:  Deciduous, White - green blooms late summer.  Purple - black fruit in late fall.  Very large alternate, twice pinnately compound leaves to about three or four feet long.  can form large thickets.

Notes: A bold foliage plant with a dramatic presence in the garden.  Combines well with other tropical looking plants.  In the wild it grows in moist woodlands along stream-banks.  Related to Ginseng, Aralia, Fatsia, Oplopanax
