Attributes: Deciduous, 12" - 16" tall. Blooms in spring. Pendent, creamy white and green striped flowers. Striped white and gray alternate foliage. Creeping rhizome, making loose colonies over time.
Notes: Uncommon early spring perennials with spectacular variegated foliage that creates very interesting textural effects in the shady garden. Makes a nice companion to ferns and other shade lovers.
Companion plants: Trillium, ferns, Podophyllum, Epimedium, Rhododendrons, Mahonia, Hydrastis, Jeffersonia, Erythronium, Sanguinaria.
