Attributes:  Deciduous, 3' - 4' tall.  Red to orange with yellow centern and dark red-purple spotting.  Orange red pollen.

Notes:  L. vollmeri is considered one of a few species closly related to L. pardalinum.  Some times genetic influence of L. wiginsii can be seen.  Rich and intense color.  In the wild L. vollmeri can be found growing near Cypripedium montanum, Cyp. californicum and Darlingtonia californica.
