Attributes: Deciduous.  Spreading rhizome.  3-6" long leaves are ovate to rounded, scalloped-edged, cordate and palmately-veined.  Four petaled, poppy-like white flowers to 2" across, atop upright branching stems rising above the foliage.
Notes: Eomecon is the Asian relative of the North American Sanguinaria. Native to moist forested areas and riverbanks in eastern China.  Plants will form large, expanding clumps in moist humus rich soil.
