Attributes:  Deciduous shrub.  Funnel shaped pink flowers in spring.  R. schlippenbackii is a densely branched shrub, with light green foliage formed in distinct whorls.

Notes:  In the wild in Korea R. schlippenbackii is often the dominant undergrowth in the forest.  R. schlippenbackii was named in 1854 by a Russian navel officer.  These prefer not to be exposed to the hot sun.
