Soil:  Moist, humus rich, well drained
Light: Part shade-shade
Height: 12"-18"

Attributes:  Deciduous, Small purple -red blooms in spring.  Large trifoliate foliage.

Notes: The name refers to the lack of petals which distinguishes it from Trillium smallii.  In the wild it grows on forested hillsides near sea level.  Only five-six species of Trillium are native to Asia.
