Attributes: Deciduous. Blooms spring to early summer.  Green pseudostem, Carmine and white with green striped inflorescens.  Large glossy trifoliate leaves with thick veining.

Notes:  Arisaema costatum is an elegant species with a dark spathe and contrasting stripes.  The huge pleated trifoliate leaves seem to hover above the ground.

Companion plants:  Arisaema, Podophyllum, Primula, Cyripedium, ferns, Calanthe, Disporum, Trillium, Asarum.
