Attributes: Deciduous, 6” - 8" tall. Blooms in spring. Blooms are large, soft creamy yellow - white with red throat. Foliage is rounded with deep pleating.
Notes: Yes, this hardy pleione is not pink. Pleiones are not common but the yellows and whites are even less available. Pleione confusa' Golden Gate' is a stunning large flowering form. These form pseudobulbs above the surface each new one will replace the previouse seasons growth. Mulch with leaves in the fall to protect the exposed pseudobulbs. Pleione formosana bloom before the foliage emerges.
