Notes: In the summer Thelypteris nevadensis has a sweet, earthy fragrance. I can't help but imagine being in the mountains when the scent catches my nose during a warm summer day! In the wild this species grows in shady forests and wet mountain meadows often with Lilium pardalinum, Aconitum occidentale, and even swamp Allium.
