Shipping, Returns and Refund Policies

We Ship Throughout the United States

We ship throughout the contiguous United States using USPS.  Shipping prices are based on the following:

  • Plant weight
  • Packing box size
  • Your zip code zone (We recommend using 2 day air if your zip code is below 80000)

Standard Shipping will take up to one full week depending on location.  Priority will take up to two days depending on location.

Mail order purchases will be calculated at checkout.

Payment in full is required before shipping and credit cards will be charged no later than 7 days once the order is placed.  If you require more information, please call.

We ship out orders Mondays and Tuesdays.  We will ship out orders within the next shipping day unless you specify a preferred date.  For specific customer shipping instructions please note instructions on your order. 

If orders are placed after a shipping season is closed your order will be scheduled to ship out the beginning of the next shipping season.  For example;  an order placed after the last Tuesday of November, the order will be shipped out during our spring shipping season.  Remember we also offer Gift Certificates.

Our Shipping Seasons are as follows: 

  1. Fall Shipping Season is September, October, November.
  2. Spring Shipping Season is Late February, March, April, May, June.

Note: It is too difficult to track weather conditions around the United States so if you don't want to receive plants as soon as you order let us know a preferred shipping week.


We generally ship in the pot depending on the size of the plant and the season it will be shipped.  If necessary, we remove the pot and ship the plant in a cellulose bag packed with peat to ensure it stays moist.  Finally your plants are packed in a cardboard box with newspaper to prevent movement and damage.  We are committed to using recycled boxes and packing materials as much as possible, to reduce both costumer costs and to minimize our ecological footprint.


Once the plant material leaves the nursery we do not accept returns, however if a problem should occur let us know as soon as possible so that we can determine the cause.  We will replace plants or give store credit for issues originating at KIGN.

When you receive your order, open the box immediately to inspect and unpack the plants.  If there is some damage, please give the plant a chance to recover.  If there is an unusual amount of damage, let us know immediately and we will be glad to take the steps to make you happy.


Refunds are given by store credit or by refunding your credit card account.  Shipping is on Mondays and Tuesdays, so cancellations of an order must be made in advance of  the next shipping day.


We will not substitute a plant with another plant or different size unless one has been provided by you in the order.
