Notes:  Rubus irenaeus works well when planted on a slope or raised bed or rockery to allow the long tendril-like stems to cascade down.  Like other Rubus when kept well watered and given rich soil can be quite fast growing and should be pruned to keep smaller.

Notes:  When grown in full sun the fronds are upright and denser.  While when grown in shade tend to grow out more arching to flat.  Quite summer drought tolerant when established.  In Chile we found these growing in dappled shade underneath Azara and Sophora tree along with other ferns such as Blechnum.  In the full sun they can be found growing with Eryngium.
