Attributes: Deciduous, shrub or small tree.  Ovate, green leaves to 6" long, dentate margins.  Pendulous racemes of apetalous green flower.  Male catkins 2.5" long and female to 1.25" long, elongating to 6" long as black seed capsules form.
Notes:  A monotypic genus native to forests of China where it is a near threatened species.
