Attributes:  Evergreen, medium sized tree with dark green, shiny needles.  Large nut like fruit encased in a red out layer.  Plants are dioecious.
Notes:  In the wild it grows at moderately high altitudes of 600 - 3,200 m.  Mixed forests and stream valleys.
