Erythronium 'pagoda' (Dog Tooth Violet, Fawn Lily)

Natural Range: Garden hybrid; E. tolumense x revolutum
Soil: moist, well drained
Light: part shade, sun
Attributes: Early spring blooming, Each stem holds up to 2 yellow flowers with darker yellow markings in the center.  Brown mottling on the foliage.  Bulb goes summer dormant.
Notes:  In the wild Erythronium grow in open woodlands, and sunny meadows. Plant in a rock garden or a partly sunny perennial garden.  Supper huge bulbs!
Companion plants: Trillium, Fritillaria, Cypripedium, Cardamine, Dodecatheon, Epimedium, Paris, Smilacina, Camassia.
