Attributes:  Oval leaves with toothed margins.  Separate male and female catkins on the same tree.
Notes: Alnus acuminata grows in the temperate zonal high elevation mountain ranges in tropical and subtropical Central and South America and Mexico.  This collection was made in Guatemala and is quite rare in cultivation.
