Attributes: Deciduous.  Leaves with petioles up to 12" tall.  Toothed leaves to 8" across.  Many white flowers on tall, dense spikes.  Short spreading rhizomes.  Subtle earthy sweet fragrance.
Notes: Grows in shady forests and wet mountain meadows often with Lilium pardalinum, Aconitum occidentale, Thelyepteris nevadensis, and even swamp Allium.
