Arisaema mayebarae (Jack-in-the-Pulpit)

Soil:  Moist, humus rich, well drained
Light:  Part shade
Height: 2' - 3' tall

Bloom Time:  April to June

Attributes: Deciduous.  Dark purple spathe, fan like foliage.  Mottled pseudostem.

Notes:  Considered a variety of A. serratum with distinctively dark flowers.  I have found this species to be a reliable grower even under some harsh PNW conditions.  Not as common in the trade.Tubers ordered now will be shipped while dormant February through March.

Companion plants:  Podophyllum, Primula, Cyripedium, ferns, Calanthe, Disporum, Trillium, Asarum.
