Attributes:  Deciduous, Six inch long scalloped leaves with deep green new growth and contrasting under side of the leaf giving an outlined look.  Light brown bark with layered horizontal growth.  Fragrant bright yellow ribbon like blooms in winter.
Notes:  Great when used as an architectural element in the garden.  In the wild Hamamelis grow in forests as an understory plant and along streams  Tolerates clay soil.
