Podophyllum hexandrum (Himalayan Mayapple)

Attributes:  Deciduous, A flowering plant will have two umbrella like lobed leaves.  New growth emerges mottled with chocolate brown fading to green.  Single pinkish white flowers formed between the two leaves in spring.  Red fruit in summer.  Spreading rhizome.

Notes:  Podophyllum can take a few years before settling totally in.  This species forms large clumps over time, doing best in a large garden or divided regularly once established.  These are incredibly slow from seed and we are offering young seedlings that will take a couple more years before flowering.
