Attributes: Deciduous. Blooms summer.  Purple flowers found in the center of a rosete of leaves.

Notes:  In the wild Roscoea tibetica grows in sunny alpine meadows ocasionally growing near a closely related species Roscoea alpina. 

Companion plants:  Arisaema, Lilium, Aconitum, Trillium, Cypripedium, Epimedium, Paeonia species, Rhododendron, Vaccinium.
